Aberystwyth Harbour: The flow direction is always out of the harbour, around 1 knot during the flood and up to 3 knots on the ebb - perhaps more when river levels are high.
Between Aberdovey and Aberystwyth: The north going stream begins at 5 hours before high water at Liverpool. The south going stream begins at 1 hours after high water at Liverpool. The flow reaches a speed of 2 knots at springs.
Dovey estuary entrance: The east going stream begins at 4 hours and 30 minutes before high water at Liverpool. The west going stream begins at 2 hours and 45 minutes after high water at Liverpool. The east going stream reaches a speed of 3 knots at springs. The west going stream reaches a speed of 4 knots at springs.
Between Barmouth and Aberdovey: The north going stream begins at 6 hours and 5 minutes before high water at Holyhead. The south going stream begins at 20 minutes after high water at Holyhead. The flow reaches a speed of 1 knots at springs.
Mawddach Estuary, Barmouth Bridge: The tidal flow accelerates near the bridge and may reach 6 knots and create choppy water.
Mawddach Estuary: The north-east going stream begins at 3 hours after high water at Liverpool. The south-west going stream begins at 3 hours before high water at Liverpool. The flow reaches a speed of 3 knots at springs.

Llanrhystud Beach: (SN 525 691) g Parking area at road end on at the top of the beach.
Aberystwyth harbour south: (SN 580 807) g Parking area at top of shingle beach at south end of harbour. Launch either into harbour (drop boats near sailing club nearby) or on the beach. The harbour dries at low water.
Aberystwth Harbour North: (SN 580 809) g Slipway just inside the breakwater, plenty of parking nearby.
Clarach Bay: (SN 587 840) g Small parking area by the beach.
Borth: (SN 608 896) g Roadside parking all along the road by the beach.
Aberdovey: (SN 612 959) g Large car park by the beach.
Tywyn: (SH 579 001) g Small car park with slipway nearby onto beach.
Fairbourne: (SH 610 136) g Gravel car park a short carry from the beach, to the north of the village.
Barmouth: (SH 615 154) g The large beachfront car park may be a long walk from the sea except at high water. It may be better to drop boats by the slipway at the harbour. The harbour dries completely, but launching should be easy 2 and a half hours either side of local high water.
Penmaenpool Bridge: (SH 695 185) g Car park just to the east of the south end of the bridge. Launching likely easiest to the west of the bridge, a short carry along the road. Muddy at low water.
