Notes

Access/Egress

Redcar Millclose Howle: (NZ 625 237) g Large car park by the beach.

Marske Sands: (NZ 632 232) g Car park by the beach.

Saltburn by the Sea: (NZ 668 217) g Two good sized car parks close to the beach.

Skinningrove: (NZ 714 201) g The road leads down to the beach. Plenty of space to park nearby. Access and parking may be equally easy to the west side of the river.

Staithes: (NZ 784 189) g Staithes has a slipway into the harbour a reasonably sized car park around 500m up the hill. However, the town's lanes are very narrow and likely busy with tourists. A trolley is one possible solution, although it is probably easier to launch elsewhere!

Runswick Bay: (NZ 810 160) g Slipway, which boats can be dropped near, car park just up the hill.

Sandsend Beach: (NZ 867 124) g Parking along the road that runs along the beach. There is a car park at the north end with a slipway, but it has a low height barrier.

Whitby Harbour: (NZ 900 105) g Large long stay car park with slipway near south end.

Boggle Hole: (NZ 955 040) g Car park 400 m from beach. A narrow lane leads down to the beach, and it may be possible to drop boats near the end - but a long reverse may be needed to get the car back up!

Scarborough North Sands: (TA 038 897) g Ramp onto beach near loading bay on main road. Limited parking along sea front, car park (Ryndle Cres) 250m to the west. Most of the beach completely floods at high water.

Scarborough Lifeboat Station: (TA 047 887) g West Pier pay and display car park is close to the beach. Likely busy in summer.

Filey Beach: (TA 120 806) g Roadside parking along the seafront, likely busy in summer.

Hunmanby Gap: (TA 131 773) g Large car park above the cliffs, 250m walk to the beach, may be possible to drop boats a little closer.

North Landing, Flamborough Head: (TA 239 721) g Large car park above beach, 150 m carry down to beach. Likely very busy in summer.

South Landing, Flamborough Head: (TA 231 692) g Pay and display car park at top of hill. It may be possible to unload boats close to the lifeboat station, but cars must not be left here, as the parking is used by the lifeboat crew.

Bridlington Sea Front: (TA 191 675) g Parking along North Marine Drive along the beach, large car park just north of where the road turns away from the sea to the north.

Bridlington Park and Ride: (TA 173 650) g Huge car park by the beach.
